Switzerland's chief prosecutor said on Friday a criminal investigation into state fund 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) had revealed that about $4 billion appeared to have been misappropriated from Malaysian state companies. The office of Swiss Attorney General Michael Lauber said it had formally asked Malaysia to help with its probes into possible violations of Swiss laws related to bribery of foreign officials, misconduct in public office, money laundering and criminal mismanagement at the fund. It said it had identified four cases of alleged criminal conduct. 1MDB, whose advisory board is chaired by Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak, has been probed by Malaysian authorities following accusations of financial mismanagement and graft. Earlier this week, Malaysia's attorney general cleared Najib himself of any criminal offences or corruption, declaring that $681 million deposited into his personal bank account was a gift from Saudi Arabia's Royal family. The Malaysian attorney general's office said in a statement on Saturday it would take all possible steps to follow up and collaborate with its Swiss counterpart, but noted that the investigations into donations made to Najib were entirely separate from those into 1MDB. Najib has consistently denied any wrongdoing, saying the funds were a political donation and he did not take any money for personal gain. In its statement seeking Malaysia's assistance, the Swiss attorney general's office said: "The monies believed to have been misappropriated would have been earmarked for investment in economic and social development projects in Malaysia." It added that each case involved "a systematic course of action carried out by means of complex financial structures". 1MDB said it has not been contacted by foreign legal authorities on any matters relating to the company. The Swiss authorities began investigations last August into 1MDB for suspected corruption of public foreign officials, dishonest management of public interests and money laundering. Lauber's office said a small portion of the apparently misappropriated money had been transferred to accounts held in Switzerland by former Malaysian public officials and current and former public officials from the United Arab Emirates. The four cases of suspected criminal conduct related to former 1MDB subsidiary SRC International, Petrosaudi, Genting/Tanjong and ADMIC between 2009 and 2013, it said. When presenting his findings last week, Malaysia's top lawyer had asked the country's anti-graft agency to close all probes into SRC and the money deposited in Najib's account. Officials from Malaysia's anti-graft agency were not immediately available for comment on the statement by the Swiss authorities. Genting and Tanjong did not answer calls seeking comment. Petrosaudi and ADMIC could not immediately be reached. The Swiss statement said Lauber had discussed the 1MDB case with his Malaysian counterpart at a meeting in Zurich in September. Sources familiar with the September discussion between the two law enforcement officials said the Malaysian official strongly urged Lauber to abandon his 1MDB-related investigation. 1MDB is also under investigation by law enforcement agencies in Hong Kong and the United States, media and other sources have said. Tony Pua, a member of the Malaysian parliament with the opposition Democratic Action Party, called on the Malaysian attorney general to cooperate fully with foreign investigating agencies. "Such cooperation will not only go a long way towards identifying the culprits ... but also removing the perception that the Malaysian AG was biased in favor of the Prime Minister," Pua said. Malaysia's anti-corruption commission has said it will seek a review of a decision by the attorney-general to clear Najib. The Swiss statement said the request for mutual assistance is to advise the companies involved and the Malaysian government of the results of the Swiss criminal proceedings, "with the aim of finding out whether losses on this scale have been sustained".

Bank Hottinger bankruptcy 3 Steps on how to recover your Money Yesterday, 26 October 2015, 8:00 a.m., FINMA, the Swiss Financial Markets Supervisory Authority has declared Bank Hottinger bankrupt. This means the sudden end of a 200 years old Swiss bank. The root cause of this bankruptcy are the horrendous fines imposed by the US tax authorities in connection with the secret accounts of US persons. What is the first step to recover your money The doors of the bank are closed. FINMA has appointed the law firm “Wenger Plattner” as liquidators responsible for the bankruptcy proceedings. The liquidators have to compose a list with all creditors. The clients of Bank Hottinger and other creditors of the bank should be vigilant and make sure to be listed on the official creditors list. If you are a client of Bank Hottinger you have to file your claim, asking to be included on the creditors listing, in writing. The exact indication of the amount and explanation on the economic background is also needed. This is where we can help you to be on top of the list in order to recover your money correctly. I strongly recommend you to act quickly to be placed on this list as soon as possible.

The US is attempting to have Polanski extradited from Switzerland to California to face justice for having sex with a 13-year-old girl in 1977 his lawyer said on Monday. Polanski a dual Polish and French citizen was in his third day of detention after Swiss police arrested him on Saturday on an international warrant as he arrived in Zurich to receive a lifetime achievement award from a film festival. Authorities in Los Angeles consider Polanski a convicted felon and fugitive. Whilst Polanski s Swiss lawyer Lorenz Erni declined to comment on the case in the early hours of Tuesday his French lawyer Herve Temime said Polanski s legal team would try to prove that the US request was illegal and that the Oscar-winning director should be released from Swiss custody. He said Polanski was dumbfounded and shocked but comforted by the support he had received from fans friends and colleagues. In Paris Polanski s not a fugitive wanted for a sex crime but rather a revered artist and public figure who has never had much reason to hide. Polanski s arrest in Switzerland on Saturday sparked an international outcry from prominent European supporters and drew questions about why American authorities chose to act now even though Polanski has been living and working openly in Europe for decades. Prosecutors said on Monday that they made contact multiple times with several countries in their efforts to arrest Polanski since he fled overseas in 1978 disputing claims by the director s attorneys that they never pursued extradition because it would expose misconduct by the court that handled his sex case. At the US State Department spokesman P J Crowley offered no direct comment on French and Polish views about extraditing Polanski. Crowley said he would defer to the Department of Justice and the state of California for comment. There will be a period of time I think two months for the state of California to make a formal extradition request Crowley said. The role of the Department of State will simply be to review that request to make sure it meets sufficiency in terms of our extradition treaty with Switzerland. International law expert Professor Edwin Smith from the USC Law School said the fact that Polanski s trip to Switzerland was openly publicised helped the District Attorney in Los Angeles to make a request to the State Department which the State Department automatically delivered to the Swiss. In Germany Studio Babelsberg board-member Christoph Fisser who co produced Polanski latest film The Ghost said the film world was filled with indignation. It is incredible to misuse a festival to arrest someone who was supposed to receive an award for his life time achievement there he added. The Oscar-winning German director Volker Schl

Banks in Switzerland have reported 53 possible acts of money-laundering in the investigation of FIFA's 2018 and 2022 World Cup bidding contests, the country's attorney-general said Wednesday Michael Lauber said the "suspicious bank relations" were filed to comply with Switzerland's regulations against money laundering. The federal prosecutor described a "huge and complex" case which targets "criminal mismanagement and money-laundering" in the bidding contests which sent the 2018 World Cup to Russia and the 2022 tournament to Qatar.

(1 Sep 2016) Swiss authorities on Thursday launched a criminal investigation against German football great Franz Beckenbauer in a World Cup fraud case. Beckenbauer's home in Austria was raided for evidence on behalf of Swiss federal prosecutors investigating corruption linked to FIFA. Andre Marty, Spokesman for Swiss Attorney General, said 50 officials were involved in the house searches, and that people involved could face charges of up to five years in prison. Switzerland's attorney general's office said they had opened criminal proceedings against Beckenbauer and three other German members of the 2006 World Cup organising committee. The four are suspected of fraud, money laundering, criminal mismanagement and misappropriation relating to a payment of 6.7 million euros (7.3 million US dollars) to FIFA in 2005. Beckenbauer's lawyers later said he was cooperating with authorities.. Whats up guys, this is Jay. A big bom dropped onto Najib Razak's head yesterday when Swiss Attorney General says, RM17billion were stolen from the famous 1MDB companies, and have formally seek for cooperation from Malaysian Attorney General. Malaysia's AG, Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali says he is willing to cooperate with Swiss counterpart but he would first need to review on Swiss findings to determine the appropriate course of action. So you could twist from their findings again ah...... According to Swiss AG, 4b US dollar misappropriated and they have evidence on the suspicious transfers in 1MDB probe. They found suspicious money transfers linked to 1MDB going through Swiss financial institutions. They are very concern on this as it appears to have fraud taking place and they believe the case should not be allowed to drop like this. The case Swiss AG referring is Najib's corrupting on 1MDB money into his personal account, but Apandi insist that Najib is clear. He tells the media that Swiss reported case is about 1MDB, not the RM2.6billion about Najib.Whatever, continue to live in your fantasy world, as the circle is round. it will link back anyway. In the international stage now, the name of Najib is equals as the meaning of corruption. but Malaysian believes that with Swiss AG's move, truth will be reveal sooner or later. At the same time, French is also taking act in Altantuya Murder case which link with Malaysia's purchase of Scorpene submarines. Bernard Baiocco, the former president of a French defense company is on charges of bribing Malaysia Prime Minister, Dato Sri Najib Razak including sex, corruption, murder and political chicanery. Najib's name was mentioned as he was the recipient of the bribe funds amounting 114-million Euro dollar. Reports confirmed, Altantuya was pregnant on the day 2 Najib's bodyguards abducted and murdered her. Then wrapped her body with C4 explosive and blown up presumably to destroy the fetus DNA. The funny thing is, the 2 murders are represented by UMNO's lawyers throughout the trials. Well, Najib's shit hole getting bigger and bigger while Malaysia's AG thought he shut it nice and tight. Let us wait for the judgement day to fall on them. Stay tuned as more updates to come, and remember to subscribe. Thank you.
